Finance Council

The purpose is to secure the necessary funds to finance the Parish Operations as projected in the fiscal budget.  The function as prescribed by Canon Law  1280 is self governing and functions "with" not under the Pastoral Council.  To coordinate all parish income and expenditures.  There are many organizations in the Parish that routinely donate money to the Parish coffers.  This money is sometimes earmarked to cover specific expenditures but all other proceeds are up the discretion of the Finance Council to allocate.  Expenditures are categorized under diocesan guidelines as to who has authority to spend how much and how many signatures are required on major purchases.
