The mission of Little Angels Preschool is to help each child know God and to provide a child-centered curriculum to stimulate creative interests by promoting manipulative and imaginative play.
We provide the opportunity for group experience by recognizing that children need to interact with other children and adults. While providing for this need, we provide for the child's physical well-being and development and we prepare each child for future educational experiences by providing age-appropriate activities in language, music, math, science, and art.
Our preschool program is fully licensed with the State of Minnesota. Our Program offers the following options:
2 Day Program
Children participating must be 3 years old by October 1st. This program is an introduction to preschool and focuses on social, cognitive and emotional development. The alphabet is introduced through art projects, songs and games. Beginning printing skills and simple math concepts are introduced. Class times: Tuesdays and Thursdays; 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
3 Day Program
Children who are 4 years of age by Sept. 1st are eligible for this program as a preparation for kindergarten, as are children who are 4 years of age by October 1st and who will attend a 5 day program the following year. This program uses a kindergarten readiness curriculum that focuses on social, cognitive and emotional development, with strong pre- math and pre-literacy skills that are aligned with our K – 8 programs. Class times: Monday, Wednesday and Friday; 1:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.
5 Day Program
Children who are 4 years of age by September 1st, entering their third year of preschool or entering kindergarten the following fall and are determined by teacher recommendation, to be ready for a longer program to prepare them for kindergarten, are eligible for this program. This program also uses a kindergarten readiness curriculum that focuses on social, cognitive and emotional development with strong pre – math and pre- literacy skills that are aligned with our K – 8 programs. In addition, specials such as Spanish, computers, library and science will be offered. Class times: Monday through Friday; 1:00-3:30 p.m.
*Teacher recommendation from another preschool and / or screening from the Little Angels staff will be necessary to help ensure that students are ready for a more intensive program.
