School Advisory
"A great chance to be involved in your child's school" This past spring we mentioned in the School Newsletter that we are accepting applications to fill openings on the Guardian Angels School Advisory Committee (SAC) for next school year. I'm pleased to tell you we have since had a parent step forward to join us in the Fall! However, we still need 2 more spots filled from persons whose 3-year terms are ending, plus we are considering expanding to 9 members for next year---- That leaves plenty of opportunity for you! SAC is a volunteer committee that makes non-binding recommendations to Father Doug, our Principal Amy Gallus, our Interim Parish Director Gary Van Eyll along with parish and school staff in matters related to School operations, policies, facilities, and finances. We have a big role in shaping the marketing of our School to the community. This includes advertising and events, but also the creation of the vision for the future of the School. Pertaining to the School Vision, many of you have heard that we are planning for an update and expansion to our facilities. SAC will play an important role in shaping our plans as we come closer to reality with our project. We meet monthly from August to May (except Dec) with other events and project involvement as time allows.
