 Amy Gallus

Mrs. Gallus has been working at Guardian Angels since 2001. Previously, she was a middle school teacher for seven years at The Academy of Saints Peter & Paul in Loretto, MN. Her husband, Steve, and her family of 3 boys live in Young America. Mrs. Gallus completed her Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction in 2003 and an Educational Specialsist Degree in 2008 from the University of St. Thomas. In her free time, she enjoys reading, gardening, and being a mom.

Mrs. Becker received her degree from Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa. Mrs. Becker has taught at GA since 1999. She and her husband have two daughters, Claire and Grace. She enjoys biking, reading, and spending time with her family and friends.
 
Greg Blaufuss

Mr. Blaufuss returns to Guardian Angels as our technology teacher.  He last worked at Guardian Angels during the 2004-2005 school year. Blaufuss completed a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education from Mankato State University in 1999, and he completed a technology certificate program through Hamline University.  After completing six years here at G.A., he most recently served as a construction manager/owner’s representative in the field of corporate restaurant development.  About returning to G.A.:  “I like the closeness of the community, the parents, as well as the teachers and the administration.  I spent four years in the public school system, and it made me realize what I was missing.” Greg and his wife Barbara, have two sons and they live inChanhassen.


Eric  Crowell

Mr. Crowell has served as the Business Administrator and Director of Operations for Guardian Angels Parish and School since the spring of 2003. In this role, he oversees parish facilities, manages the purchasing process, directs technology initiatives within the parish, supervises the maintenance and parish office administrative staff and advises various committees.  Mr. Crowell holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Management and a Master's Degree in Educational Psychology from Kansas State University. He and his wife, Colleen live in Chaska with their three children who attend Guardian Angels School.

Lynn Girard

Mrs. Girard began teaching at Guardian Angels in 1990, as the kindergarten teacher. She spent 7 years as a third grade teacher, and then moved to Middle School. Mrs. Girard received her Bachelor's degree from Mankato State University, and a Master's degree from St. Mary's University. She lives in New Prague with her husband Nate, daughter Julia, and son Steven. She enjoys cooking, reading, scrapbooking, and spending time with her family.

Mrs. Goers has been teaching at Guardian Angels School in fourth grade since 2000. She holds a Special Education degree K-12 from St. Cloud State University and an Elementary Education License from Crown College. She enjoys reading, being outside, working on home projects, and spending time with her family.

A 2008 graduate of the University ofMinnesota-Duluth, Ms. Hoen holds a certificate in Elementary Education for gradesK-6.  “I like the community here at G.A.”, she said.  Everyone helps each other out, and I always felt welcome right away.”  Being a product of Catholic schools, she knows that she was gifted with a quality education.   “I want kids to have the same great education that I did,” Kortney said.  “I really have no regrets about my education, and I want them to be able to say that too.”  Kortney lives in Shakopee.

Mrs. Hritz has been teaching at Guardian Angels School in second grade since 1999. She is a graduate from the College of St. Catherine's and has been teaching in the Archdiocese of St.Paul/Minneapolis since 1990. She enjoys spending time with her two daughters, sharing faith stories, playing with grandsons, teaching piano, and visiting family in Wisconsin.

Originally from Crosby MN in the Cuyuna range, Mr. Jones completed a degree in physical education at Crown College in 2008 and is licensed to teach grades K-12.  His first full-time position after college was at Fitness First in Chaska.  Jones appreciates the opportunity at Guardian Angels to integrate his faith into his teaching. “I like being able to talk about God with my students, which I would not be able to do at a public school.  A favorite thing I like to say to the kids is ‘do everything for the glory of God.’  Mr. Jones and his wife, Mekon live in Waconia.

Mrs. Kehrwald has been teaching at Guardian Angels since 1982. She taught Kindergarten for seven years, First Grade for two years and is now teaching Second Grade. She graduated from Winona State University with a BS degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Early Childhood Education. Mrs. Kehrwald and her husband, Rick, live in Bloomington with their son, Brian. She enjoys reading, watching movies, playing tennis, walking and biking. 
 

Nick Leach

Originally from St. Paul,  Mr. Leach brings nearly five years teaching experience to the job. He spent three years teaching at his old high school, St. Agnes, and also the VOA Alternative School of Minneapolis, and a year as a substitute in Prior Lake.  Nick has a degree in elementary education, with a middle school science emphasis, from Augsburg. He finished his coursework in 2002, but being an Army Reservist, he was deployed to Iraq into full-time action for a year and half, and thus was not able to complete his degree until 2004.  His greatest strength comes from what he learned in Iraq.  Mr. Leach and his wife Angela live in Farmington, with their two girls ages 4 and 2. They are expecting their third child (also a girl!) in October 2009!

Mrs. Meger has a Bachelors of Science degree in Social Work and over 15 years of experience working with children and families in various educational settings. She has taught Preschool at Guardian Angels since 2005. Mrs. Meger lives in Carver with her husband Paul and 2 children who both attend Guardian Angels.  As an alumni of GA, Mrs. Meger is thankful for the opportunity to be a part of such a wonderful school.

Melissa Miller

Mrs. Melissa Miller earned a B.A. degree in education at the College of St. Benedict. She began her teaching career in February of 1999 at CMSE as a long term substitute. She spent the next six years teaching at St. Raphaels School in Crystal, MN. In 2005, she started at G.A. by teaching Middle School Science and currently teaches 5th Grade. She lives in New Germany with her husband Mike and three children.  Mrs. Miller enjoys playing piano, softball, running, reading, cooking, being outside, and spending time with her family.

Mrs. O'Donnell has been on staff at Guardian Angels since 2002. She teaches K-8 music and is a Middle School Homeroom Advisor. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in music education from Western State College of Colorado in 1995. In addition to teaching at GA she also has 8 years of public school teaching in 3 states which include Colorado, New Mexico, and Minnesota. Mrs. O'Donnell has two children, Adam and Kaitlyn. Away from school she enjoys gardening, traveling and watching her children grow.

Mrs. Scott received her degree from Mankato State University. She has been teaching since 1980 and has been at Guardian Angels since 1985. All but one of her years at Guardian Angels were spent teaching at the first grade level.  In recent years, she has also become involved in teaching Middle School art.
